Timothy Michael was born in Buffalo, NY. He studied commercial art in college. Over the years, Timothy has realized that his love and study of music composition is what actually drives his creative inspiration. He attributes his style and artistic freedom to his limited formal training. While Timothy has a passion for art history, he feels it is important to allow himself to be influenced by many things, past and present. He is constantly trying to find his own voice in his own generation.

Timothy’s paintings are bold. His landscapes have ranges of themes and wonderful combinations of color. His figurative work tends to be lyrical expression. His style is identified by his unique juxtaposition of images to create visual puzzles and stories. The recognition and success of his art has been undeniable due to his accessible yet very unique style. People seem to identify with his work while still finding it new and different.

Timothy hopes to paint and develop his artistic voice for many years to come.
